The customisation of Lines and Colours

The Egretta Ethula, the Little Egret, lives in the Aveiro estuary.
With its white feathers and slender silhouette, it settles in coastal areas and shallow waters and gives life to the city’s fauna.
Because of its characteristics, it lends its name to the project, which is also white and unique.
Inserted in the Foz de Prata enterprise, Ethula is one of the buildings that gives life to a new sustainable ecosystem that fuses Aveiro’s biodiversity, culture and tradition.

Foz de Prata is one of the first enterprises in the country to be LEED-ND certified, the world’s most prestigious sustainability certification. Compliance with all these standards reinforces the “green” commitment of Foz de Prata.

Sustainability unites the entire development.
Here there is more space for soft mobility, new gardens, squares and parks. The buildings have landscaped roofs and construction systems with energy-saving solutions.

We tried to design something that would not only celebrate a harmonious symbiosis with the Ria salt pans, but also offer wonderful views over the serenity of the estuary, in a sustainable way and promoting healthy living for all its future inhabitants.

CAIS DE PRATA
Waterfront

Cais de Prata stretches along the canal alongside the enterprise.Just a few minutes from the main access routes to the city, this is the ideal place for a stroll along the estuary.

PRAÇA DA RIA
Square/Staircase

A place for socialising and leisure, Praça da Ria is the meeting place of the Foz de Prata development. This is a restaurant square surrounded by nature, with the protection of the pala, and rewarded by the sound of the water and its proximity to the São Roque Canal.

BAIXA RIA
Garden and lake

Heavily wooded, Baixa Ria combines nature with rest, recreation and leisure. This garden with a lake is a sheltered outdoor space.

PASSEIO DE PRATA
Central Boulevard

The interior of the enterprise comes alive with the Passeio de Prata. This is a route that favours soft mobility, thanks to its pedestrianisation and cycle paths.
